We entered the Trent Severn Waterway at 8:30 but didn’t make it
into the first lock until around 10:30.
We went through 18 locks in three days. The locks were small so we rafted off Spirit all three days with two other boats behind us. Jennifer and Kayla jumped ship to help crew aboard Spirit. We stopped at a nice park after Lock 6 in Frankford. We had a great dinner at the picnic tables with Aunt Aggie and Always Home. The girls even found a little beach area and took a nice swim in the cool Canadian water. It was pretty warm in those locks today. On Tuesday we left Frankford and arrived at Campbellford at 2:30. After a quick walk through town, we had some docktails with Aunt Aggie and Spirit Journey and then settled in for dinner on the back deck. We left Campbellford at 9:00 for a nice run into Hastings. The weather was a little cooler today. We went through five locks today and docked outside of Lock 18 at Hastings. Hastings was a pretty small town but we did manage to find a laundromat. Aunt Aggie and Spirit Journey also joined us on the wall.
