April 6-7, 2015 - Beaufort, SC

We had a few repair issues to tend to before leaving Brunswick.  While waiting for the repairman to finish, we talked with another Looper boat (Dave and Penny, Penny Pinchin') who were just coming into the marina.  I'm sure we'll run into them along the way.   We finally left Brunswick around 11:15 and anchored around 5:30 at Cattlepen River with another boat (Miss Agnes) that left Brunswick just before us that morning.  We woke up the next morning to fog, but after talking to Miss Agnes, we decided to go ahead and get going.  We followed them until the fog lifted.  After that we had a nice day traveling the winding rivers and marshland along the barrier islands of Georgia and South Carolina (known as the Lowcountry).  We passed the river entrance to Savanah and Hilton Head Island on the way to Beaufort, SC.  Once docked, we walked around the downtown area and then had dinner and relaxed on the boat.

A little foggy - following Miss Agnes

The sun is trying to peep through
