We left Alligator River Marina around 7:30 Tuesday morning for a very pleasant 3-1/2 hour ride to Elizabeth City. Albemarle Sound outdid itself today - it was very calm and beautiful. Danny came over for a while in the afternoon; then he, Buddy and Jan came over for some homemade soup that night. We had not seen them since our last trip through here two years, so we had a lot of fun catching up. (June was out of town so we missed seeing her.) Also, in the afternoon a boat with a Swedish couple on it pulled in - Hans and Erja (Ambika). They had circumnavigated the globe in a sailboat for many years, came to Florida and bought a trawler, and are now doing the loop! They were a delightful couple and we helped them with some navigation and places to visit. After a WalMart run Wednesday morning, we met Danny, Bud and Jan at a nine-hole part 3 golf course for an entertaining afternoon. Bud and Danny had not played in many, many years. When we got back, two more boats had come in -- David and Kim (Skinnydipper) and Ed and Joan (Dolce Vita). We all met Danny, Bud and Jan for dinner and then had some after dinner docktails on the boat. Thursday, it was breakfast and then back to the golf course (Danny and Bud had had such a great time the day before, they couldn't wait to get back). After another entertaining day on the course, we went back to the boat, took Joan and Kim to the grocery store, and then prepared for a hot dog dinner that night. A great ending to a great day.

This is a wonderful blog Patty! I love your style...and sense of humor! This has been a fun week with my favorite full time boaters! So glad Jack inspired Buddy to get back into golf!! Looking forward to your visit in September on your way back from the Chesapeake area ALREADY!! 😊
