Dec. 5-7, 2017 - Daytona, Titusville, Coconut Point South

We woke up to fog in St. Augustine on Tuesday, so we ate breakfast aboard Linda Jean and took off around 9:30. We anchored the next three nights on our way to Vero Beach - a total of 148.5 miles, 18-1/2 hours.  Tuesday we anchored at Daytona; Wednesday night at Titusville; and Thursday night at Coconut Point South (by Melbourne).  The travel was great all three days as we followed Linda Jean almost on a direct southerly route.  We enjoyed our afternoons at anchor and alternated cooking meals. We are starting to see a lot of Irma damage - docks in pieces, boats stranded on shore.  There is some rebuilding, but it will take a while.  There is a saying that you should never subject your body to a temperature younger than your age - well we have finally reached our age!  Temperatures are starting to warm up a little and the shorts and t-shirts have come out.

We must be in Florida now - beautiful homes and yards plus palm trees

Trashed boat, probably thanks to Irma

More Irma damage - at lot of damaged docks along the way

First time we've ever seen a salvage operation pulling
boats out of the water

Passing Panda Bear - Larry and Flora - we met them a year and
a half ago in Tarpon Springs

A nice relaxing afternoon at Titusville

Beautiful day - smooth waters, hazy skies

What we do best - sit on the back deck
